Chelsea faced off against Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. The Blues made a slow start to the game and conceded the opener in the tenth minute when Bradley Barcola found the back of the net. Malo Gusto equalised for Liam Rosenior’s side in the 28th minute before Ousmane Dembele restored PSG’s lead in the 40th minute. The West London club were trailing 2-1 at the half-time break.

Enzo Fernandez equalised for the Blues in the 57th minute. Vitinha put his team 3-2 ahead in the 74th minute. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia bagged a quick-fire brace late in the game as Chelsea crashed to a poor 5-2 loss away from home.

He made two good saves at the back but conceded five goals tonight. Jorgensen made a costly error during the game.

RB: Malo Gusto – 8/10

Gusto was a positive influence at both ends of the field and managed to score in the 28th minute.

CB: Wesley Fofana – 5.5/10

He earned the ball back twice but failed to keep things solid inside his half.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah – 5/10

Chalobah earned the ball back once but looked far from convincing on the defensive end of the field.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 6/10

The Spaniard came back to defend when he could and made one good chance in the final third.

CM: Moises Caicedo – 6/10

He anchored the midfield well at times but struggled to catch the eye going forward.

CM: Reece James – 6.5/10

James got stuck in with a couple of solid tackles and engineered some decent chances in the final third.

RW: Cole Palmer – 6/10

He was quiet for most of his time on the field.

CAM: Enzo Fernandez – 8/10

Fernandez was a real threat on the offensive end of the pitch and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.

LW: Pedro Neto – 7/10

He caused some problems for his marker and ended the game with an assist to his name.

ST: Joao Pedro – 6/10

Pedro was not shy of having a strike at goal, but failed to take his chances.
