Arsenal will face off against Sporting CP this Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Gunners suffered a 2-1 loss away at Southampton recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in midweek.
Mikel Arteta will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to revert to his strongest XI for this game. Hence, Viktor Gyokeres will get the nod to lead the charge for the North London club up top.
David Raya will feature in between the sticks for the Gunners as he looks to keep a clean sheet on the road. Gabriel will resume his partnership with William Saliba at the heart of the Arsenal backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.
Jurrien Timber will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Riccardo Calafiori hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.
Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Martin Odegaard will make up Arsenal’s midfield as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer some inviting chances in the final third.
Christian Norgaard and Kai Havertz will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if Arteta opts to call upon their services.
Gabriel Martinelli will hope to prove his worth on the left flank, while Bukayo Saka looks to weave his magic on the right wing.
Viktor Gyokeres will lead the line for the North London club down the middle. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.
Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the final quarter if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
