Haaland Gets 8, Doku With 7.5 | Manchester City Players Rated In Tough Loss Vs Real Madrid

Manchester City welcomed Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie. The Mancunian giants made a decent start to the game but found themselves a man down in the 20th minute when Bernardo Silva received a red card. Vinicius Junior put the visitors 1-0 ahead from the penalty spot just a couple of minutes later. However, Erling Haaland scored the equaliser for Man City in the 41st minute. Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Vinicius Junior scored the winner for Real Madrid in injury time as the ten-men of Man City crashed to a tough 2-1 loss at the Etihad (5-1 on aggregate).

He made his fair share of saves during the game, but failed to keep a clean sheet on both halves.

Nunes failed to impress during his time on the field and was replaced in the 56th minute.

He struggled to give a good account of himself in the first 45 minutes and was substituted at half-time.

LB: Rayan Ait-Nouri – 6.5/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles and had some bright moments going forward.
CM: Bernardo Silva – 5/10
Silva let his teammates down by getting sent off in the 20th minute.
CM: Rodri – 7/10
He struggled to protect his backline but caught the eye at times in the final third.
CM: Tijjani Reijnders – 6.5/10
Reijnders was full of energy and running in the middle of the park.
RW: Rayan Cherki – 6.5/10
He caused some headaches for his marker but failed to find the back of the net.
ST: Erling Haaland – 8/10
Haaland was not shy of having a strike at goal and managed to score the equaliser for Man City in the 41st minute.
LW: Jeremy Doku – 7.5/10
He made a lot of dangerous runs with the ball and has got nothing to show for his efforts.
