The Mancunian giants managed to secure an impressive 3-0 win versus Crystal Palace recently, so they would be eager to keep their good form going in this cup game this weekend.

Pep Guardiola will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first team for this clash. Hence, Erling Haaland will once again lead the charge for the Mancunian giants up top.

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma will operate in between the sticks for Man City after keeping a clean sheet in his last appearance. Abdukodir Khusanov should recover in time to get a start alongside Marc Guehi at the heart of Guardiola’s defence as they focus on keeping the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the 90 minutes.

Matheus Nunes will try to impress as the right-back, while Josko Gvardiol gets the nod to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.
