Kicker reports that Hamburg have secured a loan deal for Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic. The newly promoted Bundesliga outfit simply awaits the green light from the Premier League side in order to seal the deal. Vuskovic will head out on loan immediately after joining the North London club on an €11m transfer this summer. Naturally, a purchase option is not a part of the deal.
Hamburg secured two defenders on loan late last week, confirming the arrival of Warmed Omari from Rennes and Giorgi Gocholeishvili from Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday. Vuskovic has long been a target of the Hanseatic city-state club. The 18-year-old’s elder brother Mario – famously embroiled in a doping scandal – once represented HSV in the 2. Bundesliga.
After Omari, Gocholeishvili, and German central defender Jordan Torunarigha, Vuskovic will serve as the fourth new defensive arrival meant to bolster the HSV squad ahead of the forthcoming Bundesliga campaign. Toruanarigha arrived on a free from KAA Gent. Apart from a reported €250,000 loan fee for Gocholeishvili, Hamburg have not had to pay to augment their defensive corps.
