Hansi Flick is happy that Vinícius Jr. will be available to face Barcelona | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has admitted that he considers it a good thing that Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. will be available to feature against his side on Sunday.

The latest edition of El Clásico is of course due to play out tomorrow evening.

As much will see Barcelona and Real Madrid lock horns in Saudi Arabia, with the Spanish Super Cup title on the line.

In the buildup to the clash, much of the chatter in the media and beyond has surrounded the status of the aforementioned Vinícius Jr. to play his part.

Wide-man Vinícius was of course shown a red card in La Liga last week, en route to Real’s comeback victory over Valencia.

The Brazilian was hit with a two-game ban as a result, a sanction which some assumed would come into effect for the Super Cup.

This will not be the case, however, with Vinícius’ absence set to be in league play, meaning the 24-year-old will be raring to go in Jeddah in a little over 24 hours’ time.

And one individual, as alluded to above, who considers as much as a positive for the fixture comes in the form of Hansi Flick.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, Barca boss Flick assured:

“It’s good to have Vini Jr in the Spanish Super Cup. Everyone wants to see the best players.”
