Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona and Hansi Flick are understood to have agreed a two-year contract extension with a further year as an option tied to club objectives.
Talks are said to have accelerated in recent days after a campaign viewed very positively inside the club despite Champions League disappointment. Atlético Madrid eliminated Barcelona in the quarter-finals, 2-0 in the first leg and 2-1 in the return.
Appointed in summer 2024 to revive a rebuilding side, the former Germany head coach is considered to have impressed the hierarchy with his tactical work and dressing-room management across two seasons. Under him, Barcelona have rediscovered an attacking, competitive identity while keeping faith with several La Masia graduates.
Thanks to that resurgence, Flick and Barcelona secured their 29th Spanish title on Sunday night after a 2-0 win over Real Madrid.
Both parties are now aiming to lock in the long-term project. Flick is said to feel fully integrated at a club he has described as a family, and he values the trust shown by Joan Laporta and the sporting leadership. Final contract details still need to be settled before any official announcement.
