Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has requested the signing of Crystal Palace star Daniel Muñoz with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.
This comes amid ongoing concerns with the form being displayed by Jules Koundé.
Stopper Koundé was for his part singled out for widespread criticism once more earlier this week. En route to Barcelona stuttering to a 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League, the Frenchman struggled badly in his defending, from a positional standpoint to duels and beyond.
This only served in adding to what has been something of a campaign to forget for the former Sevilla man to date.
And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media late this week is anything to go by, then Hansi Flick appears to have had enough.
As per a report from Fichajes, Barca’s headmaster has already asked the Camp Nou brass for the signing of a new right-back in January.
More specifically, Flick has requested for Crystal Palace standout Daniel Muñoz to be brought to Catalunya’s capital.
The reigning La Liga champions, it is added, would be willing to part with a sum in the region of €30 million to bring the Colombian in.
