Leeds United have confirmed 17-year-old Harry Gray has joined Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the 2025/26 season.

Rotherham are in the League One relegation zone, five points from safety, with 22 games remaining. Their Yorkshire proximity to Leeds is viewed as helpful.

Gray signed his first professional contract in October and has not played for the first team since his debut against Stoke City last April.

He travelled on the pre-season tour under Daniel Farke and has made two senior matchday squads this term. For the Under-21s he has scored 11 goals in 13 games.

He has five England Under-17 caps. This season he hit a hat-trick against Scunthorpe United in the National League Cup and a brace against Accrington Stanley in the EFL Trophy.

Leeds consider the forward, brother of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Archie, a bright prospect and have tried to shield him from outside pressures. Farke has been reluctant to speak at length about him in public.

Gray will wear number 24 at Rotherham. The hope is that he can earn regular senior minutes for the first time, and he is the first player involved with the senior squad to leave Leeds this January. Jack Harrison is expected to follow soon, with the details of his loan to Fiorentina being worked through.
