Harry Kane (32) has poured cold water on suggestions of a return to the Premier League, revealing he is “all in” at Bayern Munich and open to extending his stay in Bavaria.
The 32-year-old England captain, who left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern in 2023, has two years left on his current deal and, according to Sky Sports, remains content in Germany, where he and his family have settled comfortably. Despite Spurs retaining a “first option” clause should Kane ever leave Bayern, a homecoming to north London now appears increasingly unlikely.
Speaking on international duty, Kane admitted that his outlook has shifted since moving abroad. “If you’d asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I’d come back,” he told reporters. “Now I’ve been there a couple of years, I’d probably say that’s gone down a little bit. But I wouldn’t say never.”
Kane has had an impressive start to the season, scoring 19 goals for club and country and recently surpassing 100 goals for Bayern in record time. Having lifted the Bundesliga last season, his long-awaited first major trophy, Kane insists his motivation has only grown stronger. “Winning that title has pushed me to do more and be better,” he said.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently described Kane as “the best version” of himself, and the club are keen to open talks over a new deal. For Kane, however, the focus remains clear: “I’m extremely happy at Bayern. I don’t want to rush into anything. My family’s happy, I’m happy, and right now, that’s all that matters.”
