Harry Wilson has agreed to join Leeds United as a free agent after a standout year at Fulham. The Wales international chose to depart this summer rather than wait on the club's next managerial appointment.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds had a deadline-day agreement less than a year ago before Fulham reversed course by activating an option to keep him for 2025/26. He declined a new deal but produced 10 Premier League goals and seven assists as Fulham finished 11th, one point off European football.

His stellar form made him one of the standout free agents and Leeds faced stiff competition for his signature. Completion of formalities would make him the first Elland Road arrival of the window.

Last season marked a peak for Wilson in a Fulham shirt, with his overall game progressing under Marco Silva. He delivered 11 goals and seven assists in all competitions, including a run of long-range, solo and counter-attacking finishes.

Throughout the final year of his contract, the next deal was framed as crucial and Fulham tried to reach an agreement with his representatives after Silva's departure. Although there had been talk of waiting to see who would take charge, Wilson opted to move on.
