Paris Saint-Germain has completed the transfer of young Spanish talent Dro Fernandez from FC Barcelona, as confirmed by renowned transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano.
According to the Italian journalist, the Parisian club has reached a final agreement with the Catalan management after positive talks held this week. The transfer fee is slightly above the €6 million release clause.
On his official account on platform (X), Fabrizio Romano wrote:
Dro to Paris Saint-Germain, deal confirmed, here we go! 🔐All sealed after positive discussions between PSG and Barça, for a fee just above the €6 million release clause, as revealed yesterday. The agreement with Dro was already in place since last week, and the player is ready to join PSG.
Meanwhile, French journalist Fabrice Hawkins provided further details, stating that PSG's management deliberately chose not to trigger the player's release clause and instead pay a slightly higher amount, aiming to maintain strong relations with FC Barcelona.
At 18 years old, Dro Fernandez has featured in 8 matches across all competitions this season, clocking a total of 330 minutes and providing one assist.
Operating as an attacking midfielder, the young Spaniard was under contract with FC Barcelona until the summer of 2027. According to specialist site Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at around €10 million.
