Newcastle 2 Nottingham Forest 0 – Sunday 5 October 2025 2pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see on Sunday night!
A match where United were increasingly dominant as it went on.
In the end it was 2-0 but could and should have been more, as Sels made a number of big saves and the woodwork saved Forest.
A sixth clean sheet of the season for Nick Pope making his ninth start of this 2025/26 campaign.
Dan Burn superbly setting up Bruno and our captain with a top notch finish, then the Brazil international showed great determination to win a penalty that Big Nick Woltemade stuck in the top corner.
A winning snapshot post-match.
The all important winning photo = The fourth of the season.
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
At least 39 more games to go this season in all competitions, so hopefully a fair few more of these photos to come.
