Union Saint-Gilloise 0 Newcastle 4 – Wednesday 1 October 2025 5.45pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see on Wednesday night!
A match where United were dominant.
They scored four and that didn’t flatter them.
A fifth clean sheet of the season for Nick Pope making his eighth start of this 2025/26 campaign.
Two goals from the penalty spot for Anthony Gordon and either side of those, Nick Woltemade and Harvey Barnes getting on the scoresheet as well.
A winning snapshot post-match.
The all important winning photo = The third of the season.
(The first Champions League one of the season…)
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
At least 40 more games to go this season in all competitions, so hopefully a fair few more of these photos to come.
