Hérita Ilunga questions United States protocol as DR Congo fans denied World Cup

According to Le Progres, Hérita Ilunga welcomed DR Congo’s World Cup return but questioned the United States’ Ebola-related health protocol, with Congolese supporters denied entry to the tournament.
The former AS Saint-Étienne defender, who played between 2003 and 2007, is regarded as an important figure in the development of African football.
The Congolese is closely involved as DR Congo celebrate qualification, and he has engaged with the issue of the Ebola virus raised around the event.
The Leopards will experience the World Cup atmosphere again after 52 years away.
Pleased by the team’s achievement, Ilunga says he cannot understand the measures imposed by the United States and he feels for supporters who are missing out.
