With the opening of Nu Stadium in Miami, Heron Sports & Entertainment has entered a new era, building on hundreds of events staged across the club’s state-of-the-art facilities since 2020.
According to Inter Miami, HS&E has backed marquee occasions from Barcelona’s 2022 training camp and matches in Fort Lauderdale and New York City to a 2022 friendly between the world’s top two women’s teams, the United States and Germany.
Other standouts include the University of Miami Spring Game in 2022 and 2023 and 2023’s Noche d’Or honouring Lionel Messi’s eighth Ballon d’Or. Argentina’s men trained there in 2024 and 2025, while Borussia Dortmund used the site as a FIFA Club World Cup base in 2025. NWSL champions Gotham opened 2026 with a pre-season camp.
The busiest year to date was 2025, with eight international friendlies, four base camps and two major youth tournaments. That programme featured the Dreams Cup, welcoming over 1,000 youth teams, and the Messi Cup for eight elite academies at the Fort Lauderdale stadium and the Florida Blue Training Center.
HS&E has also broadened the club’s reach through pre-season tours, facing Al Hilal, Al Nassr, a Hong Kong team and Vissel Kobe in 2024, then Club América, Universitario, Sporting San Miguelito, Olimpia and Orlando City in 2025. The 2026 Champions Tour features Alianza Lima, Atlético Nacional, Barcelona de Guayaquil and Independiente del Valle.
