Everton are amongst the clubs showing interest in Georgia winger Zuriko Davitashvili and the Toffees are hoping Saint-Etienne do not get promoted to take advantage of the situation.
Davitashvili began his career in the Dinamo Tbilisi academy and joined French outfit Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2024, with whom he has been battling to get out of Ligue 2.
The 25-year-old scored 14 goals and provided five assists in 29 matches in Ligue 2, but Saint-Etienne still need to win a relegation playoff tie to win promotion.
‘His name is on the radar’ at Everton for the summer, according to French outlet Foot Sur 7.
However, Davitashvili’s brilliant performances in Ligue 2 with Saint-Etienne have garnered interest not only from Everton but also from Olympiacos, Benfica, Lille, Monaco and Besiktas.
The Georgian international’s contract runs until 2028, with an option to extend it for one more year, and Everton were in the mix to sign him in January, but failed to do so.

All the interested sides are hoping that Saint-Etienne do not win their relegation playoff tie with Nice in order that they can then swoop in.
Saint-Etienne keeping hold of Davitashvili is rated as tough to do if they do not win promotion and the club are looking for an offer in the region of €15m at the moment, which could rise.
Saint-Etienne are currently locked in a two-leg playoff match with Nice, with the first leg scheduled for 26th May and the second leg on 29th May, and it will decide the future of the club as well as Davitashvili.
Everton have enjoyed a decent season under manager David Moyes, but will be looking to kick on with summer reinforcements.

Davitashvili is not the only winger the Toffees are keeping tabs on, as they are also keen to bring in Southampton star Leo Scienza.
Besides that, Everton are ‘closely monitoring’ the situation of Inter Milan winger Luis Henrique, who has garnered interest from a host of clubs across Europe over a potential move in the summer.
Saint-Etienne have the upper hand at the moment and could drive up the price for Davitashvili if they secure promotion to Ligue 1, as they would be parting ways with a key player at the club.
The French club would ideally want to keep hold of Davitashvili if they make it to Ligue 1, as his goals could help them extend their stay in the top-flight.
It is unclear where Davitashvili will be playing football next season, but at the moment, he and Saint-Etienne will be fully focused on securing promotion.
