Hoffenheim reach verbal agreement with highly rated Belgian midfielder | OneFootball

According to Sky Germany, the Bundesliga club have agreed personal terms with the 17-year-old, who currently plays for Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League.

After making his breakthrough last season, De Cat truly established himself during the most recent campaign. The talented midfielder made 36 league appearances, scoring twice and providing four assists, further enhancing his reputation as one of Belgium’s brightest young prospects.

His rapid development also earned him a senior international debut for Belgium in March, when he came off the bench in a friendly against the United States.

Negotiations between Hoffenheim and Anderlecht are now expected to begin, although there is still significant work to be done before a deal can be finalised. Hoffenheim remain active in the transfer market, having also reached an agreement with NEC Nijmegen midfielder Kodai Sano.
