Horta brace lifts Braga into fourth

Braga beat Rio Ave 3-0 at the Estádio Municipal de Braga to rise from fifth to fourth in Liga Portugal.

Florian Grillitsch opened the scoring in the fourth minute, finishing from the centre after Pau Victor's through ball. Ricardo Horta then struck the post (17.).

After the restart, Gabri Martínez drew a sharp save from Ennio Van der Gouw, but Horta doubled the lead from close range (73.), turning in Grillitsch's pass.

Joao Moutinho slipped Horta through to sweep a late third in the third minute of second half stoppage time.

Braga controlled long spells, registering seven shots on target from 15 attempts and 63.4% possession. Rio Ave mustered two efforts on target from seven attempts.
