According to a report from SPORT, there is complete silence within FC Barcelona regarding the chaos Real Madrid have caused ahead of the Copa del Rey final.
In fact, according to the outlet, within the club, the feeling is clear — they believe Real Madrid are trying to tarnish the match rather than focusing on football.
The controversy began during the referees’ press conference for the final. Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea, who will oversee the match, appeared emotional and spoke about the pressure coming from Real Madrid TV.
Things escalated when Madrid officially requested a change in the refereeing team.
In protest, they skipped all the official activities — no training, no press conferences, no coach photo session, and not even the traditional pre-match dinner.
On top of that, they went as far as threatening not to play the final if the referees were not replaced.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have kept their cool. Unlike Real Madrid, their travelling contingent attended the official events in Seville, including the formal dinner.
Barça knew the referee committee had no plans to make changes, so the club decided that no one would make any public comments on the matter.
The idea was simple — show respect for the referees and the institutions, and not get involved in what they see as a deliberate attempt by Madrid to influence the match.
Within Barça, there is disbelief at how Real Madrid have behaved. Even though there were no public statements from the Catalans, the overall feeling is that Madrid’s actions were completely surreal.
Barcelona believe it is nothing more than an effort to create pressure on the referees and to spoil what could be a great achievement for Barça.
The club stands firm in their position to stay silent, stay respectful, and let Real Madrid’s drama speak for itself.
