Corinthians kept last season’s Copa do Brasil-winning core and signed eight players for 2026, five permanently and three on loan, all within budget. Their impact before the World Cup pause has been mixed.
According to Globo.com, Gabriel Paulista, recruited on a permanent deal after leaving Besiktas in Türkiye, has led the intake. He has 28 games, 2,626 minutes and two goals, including February’s 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win over Flamengo.
Jesse Lingard needed time to regain sharpness but has two goals and one assist in 17 outings. His role if Memphis Depay returns is unclear, as both favour the left, and his contract runs only to the end of the year.
Kaio César finished strongly, scoring his first goal against Grêmio before the break and making two assists, in the Supercopa against Flamengo and at Santos. He is on loan from Al-Hilal, with a six million euros option for 50 percent, around R$ 35.2 million.
Zakaria Labyad has thrived under Fernando Diniz after scant chances with Dorival Júnior, registering two goals and one assist in 14 games but only 357 minutes, emerging as cover for Rodrigo Garro. Allan, on loan from Flamengo, has improved and finishes the half on the up.
Fabrizio Angileri renewed in February after his 2025 deal expired, yet has not matched last season and sits behind Matheus Bidu. Matheus Pereira has underwhelmed, with early flashes fading, no goal contributions and a R$ 1.8 million loan from Fortaleza that could be offset in a buy.
Right-back Pedro Milans has seven outings after arriving from Uruguayan football, solid when used but with limited impact.
