Inter are planning a major summer midfield reshuffle under the direction of the Oaktree ownership, with Roma’s Manu Koné identified as the primary target.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri remain determined to land the French midfielder after a failed attempt to secure his signature last summer. To facilitate the deal, Inter are prepared to offer Davide Frattesi as a key counterweight. The former Sassuolo man remains highly regarded at the Stadio Olimpico, having progressed through the Roma youth academy before his rise to prominence.

The Oaktree ownership is reportedly willing to sanction a significant financial package for the operation. Inter are prepared to structure a deal with a total valuation close to €50m to convince the Giallorossi to part with Koné. Within these negotiations, Inter value Frattesi at approximately €30m, potentially requiring an additional cash outlay of €20m to bridge the gap for the French powerhouse.

With Cristian Chivu reportedly eager to inject more physicality into the midfield, Koné is seen as the ideal profile to lead the club’s new technical project.
