Stoke City make the three-hour trip down to Loftus Road this Saturday for a 12:30 kick-off
Stoke City have enjoyed their best start to a league season in 27 years, having picked up 12 points from their opening five games.
Mark Robins' first full season in charge at the bet365 Stadium has Potters fans excited and hopeful for at least the club's first top-half Championship finish since they were relegated from the Premier League in the 2017/18 campaign.
And that hope and excitement have been reflected in ticket sales and attendance. Stoke have brought over 25,000 to two of their three home Championship games this season, and have travelled well to support their side in games against Sheffield Wednesday and Southampton.
Away day number three sees the Potters travel to the capital to take on QPR, and despite it being a 12:30 kick-off at Loftus Road, Stoke have managed to sell out their allocation.
Stoke revealed on their official X account that the tickets for their away game against QPR this Saturday have been snapped up.
"More than 1,700 Potters will fill the away section at Loftus Road," read the post, meaning that the full allocation has been filled, and the maximum number of Stoke fans will be making the near-three-hour trip to West London to cheer on their side.
Stoke have been perfect on the road so far this season. Southampton's only defeat this season came at St Mary's against a Potters side who ended the game with 10 men, and before that, they made light work of a short-handed Sheffield Wednesday side at Hillsborough.
Mark Robins' side sit second in the Championship ahead of the sixth round of fixtures. The side currently at the top, Middlesbrough, are in action on Friday night against West Bromwich Albion.
Therefore, Stoke fans may be making the trip down to Loftus Road knowing that a win could see them end the weekend atop the second-tier table, depending on Boro's result the night before. If that becomes a reality, then it'll be an away day to remember for the 1,700 plus who are making the long journey.
After a tough opening few weeks of the campaign, which included a 7-1 defeat to Coventry City, QPR are starting to find their feet under Julien Stephan.
The Hoops will be coming into this lunchtime battle off the back of two consecutive 3–1 wins against Charlton Athletic and Wrexham.
Richard Kone has looked like a top-level Championship forward already in the short time he's spent at Loftus Road, scoring three in his last three, whilst Rumarm Burrell starred against Wrexham, picking up his first goal for the club.
Stoke have been exceptional in defence so far this season, conceding just three times in the opening five games, but you'd imagine that they'll be tested by a dynamic, exciting QPR, and the Potters will need all the support from their away following if they are to be in with a shout of picking up a third win in three on their travels.
Luckily for Mark Robins, his side will be backed by the maximum number of fans allowed in that away end at Loftus Road.
