The Canadian is wanted by a glut of Championship sides at present

The Championship transfer window is now open for business this summer, meaning that those in charge of all 24 clubs across the division can officially start preparing for the gruelling 46-game campaign which gets underway in under two months.

In recent times, the Championship has been dominated by sides who have recently been relegated from the Premier League when it comes to achieving promotion, but that wasn't to be the case last term with two of the three promoted sides not in receipt of parachute payments.

It remains to be seen if that is to be the case heading into 2026/27, though, even if the trio of West Ham United, Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers are being heavily fancied in the pre-season promotion picture.

As a result, several of their divisional rivals will be looking to take advantage in the transfer market to try and gain their own upper-hand in the promotion shake-up, which will be impacted by the expansion of the play-off format from four to six teams, as well as newly-implemented Squad Cost Rules.

It still remains to be seen who will take charge at Turf Moor, even though Craig Bellamy is the current favourite, and the Clarets have now been linked with a Premier League loan deal, as well as four of their second tier counterparts, many of whom are also being tipped to enjoy seasons of relative success.

As per a recent report from TEAMtalk, AFC Bournemouth's Canadian international forward, Daniel Jebbison, is on the radar of Burnley, their East Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers, as well as Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Norwich City - all of whom finished in the top half last season at worst.

The 22-year-old, who has represented Canada seven times on the international stage, has become the subject of such links as Bournemouth, under the new management of former RB Leipzig head coach, Marco Rose, believe another Championship loan move may be the best course of action for the club to take.

That is despite the fact the newly-promoted trio of Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City could still move for his signature on a permanent basis, having scored six times and posted a further two assists on loan at Preston North End in 2025/26.

Jebbison moved to the Vitality Stadium two summers ago from Sheffield United after the Blades were relegated to the Championship, with the Cherries parting with a £1.5m fee even though he was out-of-contract at Bramall Lane at the time.

However, just how much will any of the five interested parties have to pay the highly-rated frontman in wages if a move comes to fruition?

As per Capology - a site which ESTIMATES player earnings - Jebbison's situation when it comes to a salary is extremely intriguing, with it being said that, despite earning just £5,000 per week with Bournemouth, he was picking up three times as much per week when on loan at Deepdale in a lower division.

As such, it is hard to believe that such developments are correct in this case, but either sum of money is one which isn't out of reach to the majority of the five sides wanting to acquire his services on a temporary basis, although many would give less of a chance to Blackburn given a recent lack of investment.

Birmingham, Middlesbrough and Norwich all ranked within the Championship's top 10 sides when it came to ESTIMATED wage bills in 2025/26, while Burnley's would still trump that of the aforementioned trio due to Premier League wages on offer.

There are several reasons why each of the sides in question would be an attractive proposition, with Middlesbrough needing to improve their efficiency in front of goal under Kim Hellberg, while the same goes for Blues amid exit talk surrounding Marvin Ducksch.

It remains to be seen who will still be in Burnley's ranks as Zian Flemming has also been linked with a move away, while Norwich still need to somewhat fill the void left behind by Josh Sargent's winter exit as Jovon Makama remains sidelined.
