The 2026 FIFA World Cup promises not only passion but a financial boost for Boca through FIFA’s club assistance programme for releasing players to national teams.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, if Leandro Paredes, Adam Bareiro and Ángel Romero take part, the club could receive around 450,000 dollars.

FIFA allocates payments based on the years each player was registered with a club before the tournament, so Boca can claim for current squad members and for those with recent links. The final sum depends on how long those players remain at the finals, the deeper their teams go, the higher the return.

Paredes is preparing for his second World Cup. Within those estimates, he is a key factor for the club. He is in Lionel Scaloni’s preliminary Argentina list.

Also in that preliminary squad are academy products Lautaro Di Lollo, Milton Delgado and Tomás Aranda. Their inclusion is a source of pride but they have very little chance of making the final 26-player list.

As selections are finalised, the Xeneize are already running the numbers on what their internationals could bring in.
