Nottingham Forest will look to break a record that has stood for three decades when they host Manchester City at the City Ground on Saturday.
The Tricky Trees lost 1-0 to Fulham in their last Premier League outing and are hoping to bounce back.
Doing so against City would be a massive feat, but Forest are no strangers to slaying giants. Forest ran out 1-0 winners the last time they hosted Saturday’s visitors at the City Ground.
If they repeat that trick, they’d secure back-to-back Premier League wins against the Cityzens for the first time in 30 years.
The Tricky Trees have enjoyed a remarkable turnaround since Sean Dyche took over as manager. They’ve won six of their last 11 games across all competitions (D2, L3).
One of the biggest highlights of that impressive run came at the City Ground, where they thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 3-0.
They also came away from Liverpool with maximum points after winning by a similar scoreline.
The narrow defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage halted their momentum, but Forest have made a habit of stepping up against the Premier League’s elites.
Their recent form has also lifted them five points above the relegation zone.
Dyche has transformed the City Ground into a fortress since he took the job, with Forest picking up four wins from their last six home games across all competitions.
They’ve only lost once during that run, losing 2-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion after holding Manchester United to a 2-2 draw.
Forest will fancy their chances of repeating history against City and have received positive injury news to boost their morale further.
Matz Sels is available for selection, leaving Dyche with a selection headache. While John Victor has deputised admirably, the 33-year-old will likely reclaim his place in goal.
That could be the only change to the team that lost to Fulham, with a backline of Neco Williams, Murillo, Nikola Milenkovic and Nicolo Savona remaining unchanged.
Elliot Anderson and Douglas Luiz should continue their midfield partnership, while Omari Hutchinson and Callum Hudson-Odoi line up on either side of Morgan Gibbs-White.
Igor Jesus should continue leading the line despite having scored just one goal in 16 Premier League appearances.
