Gunners aiming to record sixth straight Premier League win, but face Liverpool side unbeaten in nine across all competitions
Arsenal and Liverpool face off in a heavyweight Premier League showdown tonight.
Both sides go into game with unbeaten records to preserve. Since the heartbreaking stoppage time defeat to Aston Villa at the start of December, Arsenal have won five league games in a row, in addition to reaching the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Those results have served to further bolster hopes among supporters that 2026 will see Mikel Arteta end the club’s six-year wait for a major trophy.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have not tasted defeat across any competition since the shock 4-1 home loss at the hands of PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League back in November.
During this nine-game unbeaten run, the Reds have won twice in the capital, though draws against Fulham, Leeds (twice) and Sunderland has left Arne Slot’s side 14 points behind the league leaders ahead of kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.
While Liverpool have not enjoyed a great defence of their Premier League crown, a statement win over Arsenal could be key to enjoying a successful end to what has been a difficult season.
