What’s been said?

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca spoke on Noni Madueke’s future, with the forward being linked with a move to Arsenal.

“Personally I think the same noise came before Palmeiras. You see we gave him half an hour and he was very good, so I don’t have any doubt that if we need Noni he is going to help us, at the same moment I can understand that as a human being when there are many noise around you it’s not easy to deal with that, but hopefully he can deal with that.”

Former Chelsea player Thiago Silva spoke on coming up against his former side, having left them last summer for Fluminense.

“No, I’m not a spy. I don’t know Maresca that well, but I do know a lot of players there. I talk to them practically every week. Some of them are very close to me. The expectations are high and the anxiety is high about facing them in a World Club Cup semi-final, so I’m trying to help the coaching staff with some interesting details – but they are things that will stay between us.”
