First Manchester derby of the season takes centre stage in the Premier League
Manchester City host Manchester United in the first Manchester derby of the season this afternoon.
After putting four past Wolves across the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign, Pep Guardiola is now targeting a much-needed win to lift the mood at City after seeing his side lose back-to-back games against Tottenham and Brighton.
Those results mean Man City began the weekend six points behind champions Liverpool and will know that even at this early stage of the season, they can't afford to fall further off the pace.
Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is targeting back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time as Man Utd boss following their last-gasp victory over newly-promoted Burnley prior to the international break.
Interestingly, the Portuguese tactician faced Guardiola three times last season, winning twice - once as Sporting head coach - and left the Etihad Stadium with all three points in the corresponding fixture back in December.
A fixture that usually produces goals, with the exception of the stalemate five months ago, it's a game neither can afford to lose which sets up an intriguing battle.
