A mouthwatering Champions League showdown awaits in the French capital
Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool meet again in the Champions League tonight, though the stakes are slightly bigger this time.
It’s the Ligue 1 leaders against the defending Premier League champions in an highly anticipated rematch from last season’s round of 16 showdown that, surprisingly, only provided two goals across 210 minutes prior to a dramatic penalty shootout.
PSG emerged victorious just under a year ago en route to winning their first-ever Champions League title and have set their sights on retaining that crown.
Despite missing out on a top-eight league phase finish and squeezing past Monaco in the knockout phase play-off, PSG put the rest of Europe on notice in the last-16 by beating Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate.
Liverpool, meanwhile, overturned a 1-0 deficit against Galatasaray to progress but head to Paris with a point to prove after suffering a 4-0 loss to Manchester City at the weekend, thus crashing out of the FA Cup.
The Reds, however, do have Alexander Isak available for selection as Arne Slot, who is now facing even louder calls to be sacked, plots a way to keep his side in the hunt for silverware.
As was the case in the last-16 last season, tonight’s Champions League quarter-final first leg between PSG and Liverpool will be at the Parc des Princes, before Anfield stages the return fixture next week.
Here’s everything you need to know about where to watch...
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports 1. Coverage starts at 7pm BST ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live stream: Subscribers will be able to watch on a live stream via the HBO app and website.
