Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina are both battling to keep their World Cup dream alive tonight.

Both nations finished runners-up in qualification, narrowly missing out to Belgium and Austria respectively for top spot by two points by, but still have a chance to punch their ticket for this summer’s showpiece event.

The Dragons, managed by Craig Bellamy, have recovered from a mini wobble in the winter which saw them lose three games in a row, one of which proved costly in their attempts to overtake Belgium in the table.

However, despite winning their last two matches, history does not favour Wales as they’ve not beaten Bosnia in four previous attempts.

Bosnia have included veteran striker Edin Dzeko in their squad alongside former Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac, meaning there is plenty of experience to leave the Cardiff City Stadium stunned.

As the seeded team, Wales have been drawn to play the play-off semi-final at home and the winners of tonight’s clash will have home advantage in the final against either Italy or Northern Ireland next Tuesday.

From there, the final team standing will qualify for the 2026 World Cup, joining Canada, Qatar and Switzerland in Group B.
