HSV confident of making competitive offer for Arsenal’s Fabio Vieira

According to BuLi News, HSV sporting director Kathleen Krüger and board member Eric Huwer said the club have not given up on signing Fabio Vieira from Arsenal and are confident of making a competitive offer.

The pair took questions from supporters, with Krüger making her first public appearance since taking the role.

Vieira, a Portuguese midfielder, 26, spent last season on loan from Arsenal, delivering seven goals and four assists in the Bundesliga.

Huwer said an initial proposal had been lodged with the London club, but they had not budged.

He added HSV are waiting for movement and are also counting on the player’s desire to join Hamburg. The club believe they can assemble a competitive package within their means without taking on debt.
