Valencia's problems are piling up after back-to-back defeats to Celta and Elche, with Hugo Duro a doubt for Tuesday 21 April at Son Moix against Mallorca as he awaits further medical assessment.
According to Superdeporte, the No 9 missed Tuesday's session at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna and underwent scans later to rule out a minor hamstring tear. Initial checks indicate the issue is not serious and he should be available for the run-in, though his presence in Palma remains uncertain.
He will undergo more tests once the inflammation subsides to determine the exact damage and his real chances of travelling. With almost a week to go, involvement in Mallorca is considered difficult for now. At this stage, it appears he would be available to face Girona at Mestalla on Saturday 25 April.
Eray Cömert has an abdominal injury and will miss the Mallorca trip. Valencia expect Unai Núñez, recovering well from a hamstring issue, to return and partner César Tárrega. If Núñez does not make it, Pepelu is seen as the most viable option at centre-back.
If Duro is absent, Umar Sadiq would start again, as he did at Elche. Duro, 26, has nine LaLiga goals, leading Carlos Corberán's side. Largie Ramazani follows with five, three from the penalty spot.
