Hugo Souza made his 101st appearance for Corinthians in Thursday's 1-0 win at Athletico-PR in the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The milestone moved him into the club's top five 21st-century goalkeepers.
According to Meu Timao, he is level with Doni in fifth on 101. Ahead are Fábio Costa on 118, Júlio César on 140 and Felipe on 194, with Cássio leading on 712. Cássio is Corinthians' most used player this century and second in the club's history behind Wladimir on 806.
Across those 101 games, Hugo has 51 wins, 26 draws and 24 defeats, conceding 92, with 44 clean sheets and 11 penalties saved. He has collected three trophies, the 2025 Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil, and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.
He was pivotal at Arena da Baixada, producing four saves, two from inside the box, plus six ball recoveries and four clearances to secure the points.
On the current calendar he could feature at least 44 more times by the end of 2026. If that materialises he would reach 145 appearances, passing Júlio César to become third among Corinthians goalkeepers this century.
Hugo can add to his total on Sunday when Corinthians face Portuguesa at Canindé at 20:30. It is a single-leg quarter-final in the Campeonato Paulista.
