Joe Gelhardt’s Leeds United future is on hold after he was left out of the club’s USA tour, while Hull City’s owner shared transfer progress that did not point his way.
According to Leeds Live, Daniel Farke has taken 30 players to America without Gelhardt, and Leeds are open to a summer exit after his loan at Hull helped secure Premier League promotion.
Hull head coach Sergej Jakirovic remains keen on a reunion, but no bid has been made and little has changed since their Wembley win, with any move viewed as one for later in the window.
The Hull owner posted to dismiss false transfer rumours and to share percentage progress on 11 targets via national flags. There was no Union flag or English flag, leaving Gelhardt off the list of deals the club highlighted.
A return to the MKM Stadium could suit all parties, yet Hull are weighing options and a move now looks far from guaranteed.
Gelhardt is understood to favour Hull, and other interest is unlikely to sway him before then. Leeds may have to wait to see if a Hull bid arrives, while his wages have risen again under a long-term deal, adding pressure to find a solution.
