Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has waxed lyrical about Tottenham Hotspur after their astonishing 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Lilywhites were head and shoulders above Erik ten Hag’s beleaguered troops as goals from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke inflicted their third defeat of the season.

The win propelled Ange Postecoglou’s side into the top eight after a slow start to the season, claiming ten points from six games.

However, it was a huge step forward for Spurs, and Neville was seriously impressed by them after the box-office encounter.

“Brilliant – I love watching them [Tottenham],” Neville said on Sky Sports. “I’ve loved Ange Postecoglou since he’s come to England.

“Obviously, he’s had a bit of a rough patch – the end of last season, the start of this one – it’s not been as good as he would like.

“But he’s a massive asset to the Premier League. His style of football, his personality, the way in which they play.

“He hasn’t had the backing of some of the other managers at the top clubs in Europe. He’s been backed, but not to the level of the other top clubs.

“I have to say that they always are a good watch, and that’s something to be proud of.”

West Ham must build on the victory

Tottenham’s emphatic victory at Old Trafford was massive for morale and confidence in the dressing room, but they must keep their foot on the gas to close the gap to the top four.

Their s win at Old Trafford extends their impressive form to four wins on the bounce, and they’ll be looking to continue in the same vein when they take on Ferencvaros in the Europa League.

Postecoglou’s side swatted aside Azerbaijani champions Qarabag FK in their curtain-raiser despite being reduced to ten men and will travel to Hungary looking to make it two wins from two games.

Tottenham are one of the early favourites to win the Europa League this season, and they’ll be keen to mark their return to Europe by lifting the trophy.

After their midweek trip, they’ll head to the south coast for a tricky Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
