Insider Fabrizio Romano has put out his latest information on whether Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is in danger of being sacked or not.
Chelsea are in a horrendous run of form since Christmas week really, and things don’t look like they are going to get much better any time soon.
They lost 3-0 against Brighton on Friday night to kick the league games off for the weekend, and that was the second time they lost to the same opposition in the course of a week.
Chelsea’s defeat against Brighton on Friday night has been named as the ‘worst performance’ under Enzo Maresca so far, and they are not wrong with that analysis at all.
There has been plenty of debate over who is to blame for how bad Chelsea are right now, with fingers being pointed at not just Maresca, but at the sporting directors who built this squad, as well as directly at the club owners. And the stats have backed up that all three have to share the blame right now.

You have to wonder if Chelsea are now thinking about pulling the plug on Enzo Maresca, as they have done with every other manager they’ve had so far under the new ownership.
Well, no, is the short answer, at least not yet.
Romano says on his latest YouTube video:
“Despite the recent results, and I understand the frustration on social media, but what I can say is that, internally at Chelsea, they remain convinced that Enzo Maresca is the right man for the job.
“So there is no danger, no problem, no issues. For the long term, Chelsea remain very happy with him, very happy with the approach he has with the players, the tactical approach, and the mentality he’s giving to the team.”
