Igor Tudor retains faith of Juventus management | OneFootball

Despite a mixed start to the Serie A season, Igor Tudor has welcomed strong support at Juventus. The club believes the coach is on the right track despite amassing as many draws as wins so far, and his connection with the locker room is one of his main strengths.

This trait, as La Gazzetta dello Sport see it, separates him from predecessor Thiago Motta. The Italian-Brazilian coach lost touch with the squad, while Tudor knows how to keep the team on edge and, above all, on his side.

Other aspects also add further differences between Tudor and Motta. The pink newspaper cites these as better communication in order to successfully transmit Juventus’ DNA, as well as squad-based structure. For instance, Tudor has a captain and a number of immovable players.

There is a “constant search for happiness in a defined playing context”, while in Motta’s Juve, the reactive football had “ruined every possible, concrete escape route with fluid roles and players called upon to play as wild cards.”

Although lingering themes remain, such as this ‘drawitis’ in the first six league games, it wouldn’t make sense to point the finger at Tudor. It’s a better idea to rally around the coach.
