Monaco drew 0-0 at Le Havre, George Ilenikhena stayed goalless as a starter for a 10th time, and Wout Faes went off injured. All 10 of his Monaco goals have come from the bench. In Nice-Matin’s ratings, the display was marked down as mixed.
Ilenikhena sliced wide on 22 minutes. Balogun could not profit from Zouaoui’s error on 29. Ilenikhena then steered Ouattara’s cross off target on 41, Kehrer nearly met a Camara corner on 42, and Golovin crossed instead of shooting on 45.
Köhn had little to do, dealing with the only effort on target and banking a clean sheet. After the break Nego shot over on 48 minutes and Vanderson produced a crucial intervention to stop Soumaré on 80.
Faes twisted his left ankle against Samatta on 23 minutes and was replaced by Eric Dier on 28. Ouattara and Ilenikhena made way for Vanderson and Fati on 58. Dier later suffered a right hamstring issue and was replaced by Teze on 70.
Henrique improved after a shaky start and delivered dangerous balls. Mohamed Camara found rhythm but dragged a shot on 54 minutes, while Denis Zakaria lacked impact and missed on 73. Aleksandr Golovin was active yet short on conviction, and Maghnes Akliouche also underwhelmed.
Technically subdued early on, Folarin Balogun forced Monaco’s best effort with a dipping strike on 77 minutes, then had a fierce drive ruled offside on 81. The switch back to a four-four-two diamond did not pay off and injuries hampered the approach.
