Leeds United’s Ilia Gruev withdrew from Bulgaria’s March squad for personal reasons, missing Friday’s opener in Indonesia.

The midfielder had been selected for fixtures beginning with the 2026 FIFA Series meeting with the Solomon Islands on Friday in Indonesia.
Gruev, 25, has 27 caps and was recently voted Bulgaria’s 2025 Player of the Year.
Without him, Bulgaria beat the Solomon Islands 10-2 on Friday morning in Indonesia, the nation’s biggest win of the 21st century.
