The March international break has already proven to be a costly affair for FC Barcelona as one of their top stars, Raphinha, was injured during the friendly game between Brazil and France. The forward is now set to miss up to five weeks of action with this injury.

Meanwhile, other Blaugrana players continue to play for their respective national sides during this break. One of the players who starred recently was Ronald Araujo, as he played in the 1-1 draw between Uruguay and England at Wembley.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the center-back also talked to the media after this game, and lamented the injury suffered by his fellow captain at Barcelona:

“I just saw him, and honestly, I’m very sad. Everyone knows how important Raphinha is for us, and I hope he can recover soon because we need him.”

Araujo also addressed the professional mindset that both he and his teammates must maintain despite setbacks, emphasizing the importance of staying focused during such challenging periods:

“At the end of the day, we have to compete, both at the club and the national team; we are professionals. It’s really a shame it happens now because it affects his national team and especially the club, but we have to be professional, and that’s what we must do.”

As Ronald Araujo mentioned, Raphinha’s injury is a blow for both Brazil and Barcelona. Hopefully, he will return soon to play for his team as they both will be competing for important titles in the coming months.
