In good form, Corinthians face last season’s NBB nemesis again

On the night of this Friday, October 31, Corinthians takes to the court for the fourth round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). This time, the opponent is Flamengo, the main nemesis of Timão last season. The game starts at 8 PM (Brasília time) at the Hugo Ramos Gymnasium in Mogi das Cruzes.

Earlier this year, during the NBB playoffs, Corinthians managed to break a poor record and advance to the quarterfinals of the competition. However, they faced Flamengo and ended up being eliminated after losing three out of the four games played.

The major regret of that series was the first game, which took place at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium, Parque São Jorge. Corinthians was defeated 94 x 88, in a closely contested game. In the second match, which occurred in Rio, the People's Team won and stayed alive in the fight for the spot.

Due to their advantage from a good classification in the first phase, Flamengo hosted the third game and won again. The fourth match took place again at Parque São Jorge, and once more, it was a point-by-point battle: at the final whistle, the Rio team emerged victorious in the series by winning 80 x 78.

Now, in this edition of the NBB, Corinthians is in good form with two consecutive victories and an exciting qualification for the knockout stage of the South American Basketball League. Flamengo is on an even better streak, with four positive results in the first four games of the championship.
