Iñaki Williams has the chance on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu to make his 510th official appearance for Athletic, which would draw him level with Andoni Iraola as sixth on the club’s all-time list.

According to as.com, only Iribar with 614, De Marcos on 573, Muniain on 560, Txetxu Rojo on 541 and Etxeberria on 514 are ahead in that ranking.

The Ghana international, born in Bilbao and aged 32, made his first-team debut under Valverde in December 2014 in a league match against Córdoba at San Mamés.

Across 12 seasons he has played 406 league games, 52 in the Copa del Rey, three in the Champions League, 42 in the Europa League and six in the Supercopa. He has scored 115 goals, the latest on Sunday against Celta.

That tally places him 19th on Athletic’s scorers list, one behind Rafa Iriondo and Julen Guerrero on 116, and three shy of Carlos Ruiz, Manu Sarabia and Fernando Llorente on 118.
