Jude Bellingham fought through pain and played with a dislocated shoulder for well over a year just to be available for the crucial matches.
Upon Xabi Alonso’s arrival, he even took part in the FIFA Club World Cup and played a regular part for Los Blancos in the event.
Eventually, however, he underwent the much-needed surgery after the event and is thus currently out of Real Madrid’s squad.
The period of rest was expected to be around six weeks, forcing the player to miss the team’s opening league games and the international break.
Now, there appears to be a date of return known as relayed by Sergio Quirante via Cracks.

Indeed, as relayed by the journalist, Bellingham is expected to return to the Real Madrid squad for the team’s derby clash against Atletico Madrid in La Liga later this month.
As things stand, he will miss the team’s clashes against Real Sociedad, Espanyol and Levante in La Liga and against Newcastle United in the UEFA Champions League, meaning that 28th September appears to be the day he can make a comeback.
Considering reports from earlier this month which stated that the player is aiming to return in late October to early November, this comes as massive news and serves as testament that his recovery is progressing well.
Concurrently, however, one can expect Alonso to go slow with his reintegration.
Once back, Bellingham is expected to play a different position for Real Madrid than he has in recent seasons for the manager sees him best placed as a deeper-lying midfielder who can control the game.
After all, the likes of Arda Guler now covers his former position.
