A member of the sidelined contingent at La Liga giants Real Madrid on Monday took a significant step forward in his recovery.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Attacker Rodrygo was for his part condemned to a spell on the treatment table earlier this month.
Forced into a premature departure from Real’s 4-0 La Liga drubbing of Osasuna, the Brazilian international was subsequently diagnosed with ‘an injury to the rectus abdominis muscle in his left leg’.
After initial suggestions that Rodrygo would be out of action for a spell of three to four weeks, concerning reports then began to surface, pointing towards the 23-year-old potentially remaining unavailable for selection until the new year.
Safe to say, then, that the latest images stemming from Valdebebas will likely bring about a collective sigh of relief on the part of the Blancos faithful.
