Injured Real Madrid star travels for Barcelona clash | OneFootball

A sidelined member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has made the journey to Catalunya, for his side’s showdown with Barcelona.

That’s according to Blancos insider Sergio Quirante of DAZN, who points towards Dani Carvajal as the player in question.

Real Madrid are of course currently in the thick of final preparations for a potentially season-defining outing on Sunday.

Aware that only a victory will keep their La Liga title hopes alive, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will make the trip to Montjuïc, to lock horns with arch rivals and table-topping Barcelona.

The aforementioned Dani Carvajal will play no part in the fixture, amid his ongoing efforts to recover from a serious knee injury.

But this has not stopped the full-back from doing his utmost to support his teammates in Catalunya.

As per a report from Sergio Quirante:

‘Carvajal has travelled with with the expedition despite being injured. A captain’s gesture.’
