He grabbed an assist as he set up Tijjani Reijnders to score in the second half of that match. But he also wasn’t overawed by playing against seasoned professionals. That cameo appearance showed that Mukasa can cut it against top level players.

Divine Mukasa is seemingly the next young player on the verge of breaking into the Manchester City first-team. Injuries may present him with an opportunity sooner rather than later. It would seem that Mukasa is ready to take that opportunity if it arises. Perhaps it may come tomorrow against Manchester United as City’s attacking options are stretched.
