Injury worries for Corinthians as duo sidelined for rest of the season

Corinthians is facing Capivariano in a delayed match of the sixth round of the Paulista Championship, which started at 8:30 PM (Brasília time), and is already dealing with new concerns for the continuation of the season after injuries suffered in the first half of the match at Neo Química Arena.

Forward Kaio César felt pain in the back of his right knee at 12 minutes into the first half and left the field with his head down, covering his face with his shirt. He was replaced by the young Dieguinho, a decision made by coach Dorival Júnior.

Recently signed, Kaio César made his debut for Timão in the Brazilian Super Cup final last Sunday (1st), when he came on in the second half and assisted the goal scored by Yuri Alberto. The forward had been playing normally for Al Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, even delaying his arrival at Corinthians to play two more matches for the team led by Simone Inzaghi.

Another player who left the field was left-back Hugo Farias, who felt pain at 36 minutes after a clash with a Capivariano attacker and had to be stretchered off, being replaced by Matheus Bidu. Confirmation and more details about the possible injuries should be released by Corinthians and coach Dorival Júnior in the coming days.
