Lorenzo Insigne has ended his experience in Canada and is ready to resume his career, but while there is no shortage of offers in Italy and abroad, he’s waiting for Lazio.
The striker is a free agent now that his contract with Toronto FC has been terminated and that has been the case for several weeks.
There have been proposals both from within Italy and abroad, but Insigne has decided to continue holding off.

The reason is what we had exclusively revealed on Football Italia on July 4, which is that his priority is to reunite with his former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Lazio.
That was almost six weeks ago, but since then there has been no progress on the transfer embargo, meaning Lazio are still not allowed to bring in new players.
The real problem is that we still don’t know if they will be able to sign free agents from October, or wait until January 2026 to open up the books.
Meanwhile, if Insigne had wanted to come back to the field, he would’ve done so already, so he’s going to take all the time he needs to make the right decision.
