Lazio and Inter Milan remain apart on a fee for Ivan Provedel, although a summer move is widely expected. According to The Laziali, the goalkeeper has agreed personal terms with the Serie A champions.
New head coach Gennaro Gattuso has installed Christos Mandas as first choice after his return from a forgettable loan at Bournemouth, who declined a €18 million option.
Edoardo Motta will serve as understudy and Alessio Furlanetto remains third choice. Provedel, 32, is now surplus, and both sides plan to end their four-year spell together this summer.
Following Yann Sommer’s exit, Inter have identified Provedel to work alongside Josep Martinez, who has been elevated to first choice. The Italian is ready to sign a three-year deal worth €1.5 million plus bonuses.
Lazio want €4-5 million while Inter are offering €2-2.5 million, leaving a small gap to close. Fresh talks are expected in the coming days to reach a definitive agreement, with all parties keen to find a solution.
